MS-Project is a software tool for planning and monitoring schedule, resources, budgets etc’.
In the monitoring phase information about the project progress is collected (By Project Web Access, E- mail, status meetings etc’). There are two things to do when updating is complete:
1. Reschedule – This reschedules to the future all tasks that were supposed to be done until current time but were not.
2. Resource Leveling – This is to solve resource over allocating problems
The Level-On add-on does both rescheduling and resource leveling in one click while dealing with different constraints defined by the Project Manager.
In Project manager/Team leader ‘s usual work, Resource leveling (for preventing over allocation) is done regularly. A task that was postponed to the future as a result from resource leveling gets lag instead of constraint. The next time a resource leveling is done, the task will move back to history, to the place where the resource was available.
The Level–On Add–on solves this problem by preventing task to return to history.
