APSplit Desktop Edition breaks PDF documents into smaller files based on page count, maximum output file size and other variables.  It’s an invaluable tool for lawyers and other professionals who need to submit electronic documents to regulatory agencies.
Use APSplit DE to extract every page to a new file, just the odd or even pages, one or more page ranges, or all of the first-level bookmark sections.
APSplit Desktop Edition is NOT a server product, and cannot be used for automated processing.  If you are interested in server software for this purpose, please see APSplit Server.
APSplit DE does not require Adobe Acrobat.

APSplit is a streamlined server-based solution for reliably and rapidly splitting PDF documents.
Designed for mission-critical on-demand and high-volume document processing  implementations APSplit is full-featured, engineered for performance and is designed for entirely unattended operation.
Output Options
  • Retain annotations from the original PDF document in the extracted output files
  • Include bookmarks from the original file
  • Optimize output PDFs for faster access and viewing when downloaded from the Web or a network
Splitting Options
  • Individual pages. Each page in the original document becomes a new document
  • Odd pages. All of the odd pages in the original document are split into a new document
  • Even pages. All of the even pages in the original document are split into a new document
  • Page ranges. A single page range, consecutive page ranges of the same length, or multiple page ranges of any size and from any location in the original document are extracted to one or more documents
  • First-level bookmarks. Each first-level bookmark section in the original document becomes a new document
  • File size. The original document is split into one or more new documents based on a user-specified maximum output file size or page count
